9 Tips To Look Stylish And Stay Comfortable This Summer

Many girls think that it’s absolutely impossible for them to be both stylish and comfortable in the summer time. It’s either going outside in just a tank top and some jeans or going out in a summer dress that’s just not comfortable at all. No matter what you think about this topic, there is one thing that’s true. It’s completely possible for you to get out there in the summer time and be both comfortable and stylish. It’s a complete myth that both things are not possible.

That’s why we’re here to help. We want to give you the top tips we have to help you look good and feel good when you go out in the summer time. Keep reading down below and you’re going to get everything you need to know about this topic.

1. Put Your Uncomfortable Clothes Out Of Sight

The first thing that you’ve got to do when you want to wear comfy and stylish clothes is to just put those uncomfortable clothes out of sight. Take a day and go through your entire closet to pick out those pieces that are just too uncomfortable to wear during the summer time and put them away. Note that you don’t have to throw these away or get rid of them entirely. You can just store them under your bed or in your basement until autumn comes back and you’re able to wear some more uncomfortable clothes again. And no matter what kind of girl you are, there are going to be those pieces of uncomfortable clothes in your closet.

2. Just Stick To A Couple Of Stores

The best thing to do when you are looking for new stylish and comfy clothes to wear is to just stick with a couple of main stores that you buy from. You shouldn’t have to run around town and look for that one piece of clothing that you want this summer. If you stick to a few main stores, you’re going to be forced to make decisions based on what those stores have. That’s going to mean that you spend less time running from store to store and more time getting the clothes that you actually want to wear this summer!

3. Go with A More Neutral Color Palette

When you are wondering what kind of colors that you should be wearing this summer, it’s best that you go with a neutral color pallet. This is going to ensure that you don’t have so many colors in your wardrobe that absolutely nothing goes together. You can have a few pieces of clothing that are going to be more bright and colorful that you can just pop onto a more neutral outfit. However, if you have too many clothes that are too many different colors, that’s going to make picking your summer outfit in the morning that much more complicated.

4. Go For One Or Two Signature Items

With that being said, you should have some signature items in your wardrobe, that you keep around for those times when you need a bit of a boost in your style. These are items that are a bit more stylish than you would normally wear, but will make your outfit look absolutely stunning. You can keep these in the back of your closet for the time when you feel like being a bit more of a fashionista.

5. “Easy On And Easy Off”

This should be your motto during the summer time. You should only be buying clothes that you can easily put on and you can easily take off. Let’s face it. You’re going to be sweating a lot when you’re spending a lot of time outside in the sun. And what’s worse than just sweating a lot? Having to take off your outfit with that sweat running down your back at the end of the day. Go for loose-fitting clothes that are super easy to take on and off and you’re going to thank us later for taking that advice.

6. Have A Work Uniform

Go for a simple shift dress when you’re looking at what to wear to work during the summer time. These dresses can be dressed up or down and can be worn pretty much year-round if you know what you’re doing. You can wear any kind of accessory with it and you can change up the shoes to change it up a bit. This is going to make your life a whole lot easier when you don’t have to think about what you’re wearing for work during the day and what you’re going to change into for your evening and night plans.

7. Make Sure Everything Is Washable In A Washing Machine

Dry cleaning is something that nobody wants to deal with when you want to get your clothes cleaned. That’s why it’s a better idea to choose clothing materials that are going to be machine washable and can be dried in the dryer. You’re going to thank us later for this one when you don’t have to go all the way to the dry cleaner to drop off and pick up your laundry. Plus, you’re going to save a whole lot of money!

8. Make Sure To Wash Everything With Cold Water

That being said, you want to make sure that you are always washing your clothes in cold water and drying them on low heat. This is going to ensure that they don’t tear apart right away and that they last longer than they would otherwise. Having too much heat near your fabrics is no good for the longevity of your summer clothes.

9. No High Heels For You

You definitely don’t need to be wearing high heels in the summer time if you want to be comfortable. You are just as well off when you wear flats or sneakers in summer. Plus, they are going to look better with your outfits! Just put away those high heels for right now and take them out for the special occasions.

There you have it! These are the top tips we have for you when you want to look great and feel great this summer. Style and comfortability go hand in hand!
