Make Time to Take Care of Yourself!

Busy, everyone is always busy all the time but taking a “me” day or a “me” break  is always more beneficial.   Taking time to relax and de stress from your everyday work is really difficult when you know you have so much to do.  We are not saying to take a very long break, what I meant here is taking an hour or two and if you can spare one more hour the better once a week. I have a very busy work week but I make time to have a massage on weekends.  There came a point where i had been getting sick all the time and one time i had this neck pain that I just ignored thinking it would go away.  But unfortunately it did not.  It came to a point when I could not even move my head anymore.  I went to the Doctor and was told that I was too stressed out and my neck and back pain was due to over fatigue as well, plus those who are mostly in front of the computer are prone to this type of aches.  I was given medicine and prescribed to get therapy for 4 straight days and a massage every week.  It really made a big difference.

Touch is a very important part of human contact. It helps us feel connected and loved by those around us.  Massage uses touch through rubbing or kneading of parts of the body to aid circulation, relax the muscles, or provide sensual stimulation.

Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy.   The basic goal of massage therapy is to help the body heal itself and to increase health and well-being.

There are many health benefits to receiving massage therapy on a regular basis:    Relieves stress , Encourages relaxation , Improves circulation , Improves posture , Lowers blood pressure , Helps manage pain , Relaxes muscles Improves flexibility, Improves breathing, Relieves tension headaches , Strengthens immune system , Decreases depression

And please the massage is good for both male and female.  Here is a video of one of the places I get a massage.  We call it “Hilot” an additional benefit is that it is a healing massage. Whatever type of massage you enjoy.  I hope you MAKE time for it, your body will thank you for it.
