Kids will be kids, unless you’re these kids, then you might as well attract a big crowd and cover Metallica and Guns N’ Roses. I was blown away by this band whose members are all between the ages of 8 and 10. They call themselves The Mini Band, and they are a UK rock group making quite a name for themselves. Dang, when I was that age, I was still roller skating and squashing bugs on the driveway.
The kids in the band (I want to give each one of them credit) are Zoe Thomson (age 8, guitarist), Harry Jackson (age 8, guitarist), Kieran Fell (age 8, guitarist), Harrison Read (age 8, lead singer), Charlie Emmons (age 10, drummer) and Archie Zolotuhin (age 10, bass).
I’ve got pairs of blue jeans older than them, yet they look like seasoned professionals. How does a band like this get formed? Do they stay up all hours of the night performing like real rock bands? I need to ask Richard some of these questions because I’m truly impressed and baffled by these incredibly talented children. They sound awesome! You can learn more about them on their website or their Facebook page. Congratulations kids, you’ve got the attention of the world right now. We are so happy for you!
