The Most Unusual Hotels In the World

The hotel industry must be one of the hardest industries to be in out of all of them. Why? Well, you have to be on the leading edge in order to keep your visitors coming back. When I think about it, it’s much like having a website to run. You have to keep it updated and on the edge with the very latest in order to really captivate your visitors and to keep them coming back again and again. However, keeping a hotel up to date is an expensive business and without customers… well, you get the idea. When traveling, you sometimes want an experience out of the ordinary, and then an ordinary hotel just won’t do. Don’t fret, there are plenty of solutions out there that will probably tickle your fancy.

Depending on what you are looking for, there is everything from escape pod hotels to ice hotels. There are even sand hotels and plenty more to choose from, so all you really need to do is make your decision and then… have a merry time traveling. Why not make a journey out of it and visit all of these? I am sure there is some kind of foursquare badge for that or something. There might even be an achievement in Klout. That would be pretty sweet!

I am sure there are plenty of cool hotels out there that are on the edge of insanity, and if you know of any, please comment and let us know where we could check them out. That would be a sweet addition to this post. Anything that has to do with geekdom we are all over. We might not always be able to feature it here at Bit Rebels, but we always check everything out, so keep sending your cool stuff to us. Now, I wonder which one of these I should try out first. The Swedish one looks quite awesome… and it is of course the closest one for me.
