The main concept behind a VPS server system is that it is a personalized virtual space that is dedicated to a single user. This space is a part of a much larger and powerful main server which is usually very expensive for one user to own.
VPS servers have made working in a virtual space easy and efficient. There are many ways to use a VPS space. We can use them to play online multiplayer games, host businesses etc.
You no longer need an independent, physical server for any of these matters which makes the use of a VPS system very cheap. For this reason, more and more people are shifting their businesses to this space.
If you are new to the use of VPSServer.com, you must have some questions regarding its use. We will help answer some of those questions by listing out and explaining some of the key features that every VPS server must have.
[pullquote]The most prominent feature of a VPS server is that it provides you with a remote desktop.[/pullquote] A remote desktop is a workspace which you will access from your system but even so, it will be occupying the space of another system.
It is just like any normal desktop because it has the same resources that you find in any other desktop. There will be an Operating System of your choice and it will function the same way as any desktop in that particular operating system. The difference will be that this one will be a part of a different server.
A great advantage of working on a remote desktop is that you can access it from anywhere. You do not have to carry the system around with you.
Your Virtual Server also comes with its own RAM! How high-tech is that? And just because the system is in virtual space, do not expect it to come with less RAM. Even though at first you could only get a few KBs or MBs of RAM on a virtual system, servers nowadays have at least 1 GB available! That is more than enough RAM to perform most of the tasks possible.
Obviously for playing high-tech games and such, you will need more RAM but that isn’t a problem since you can get a system with the minimum requirement or add more. Yes, that’s right, since virtual spaces are customizable, it is possible to change the amount of RAM you get, provided, of course, that that RAM stays within the limits of the actual system.
Virtual systems also must come with their own disk space. This means that they occupy no space on the system you access the virtual system from. You have many options to choose from but the standard minimum for most systems is 100 GBs. You even get a couple thousands of GBs separate for data transfer! And just like for the RAM, you can always upgrade and add more memory as long as it stays within the limits of the main system.
You can set up your own mail server in the VPS system and even get your own domain name to receive emails on. Setting up your mail server is not an easy task so you must look up tutorials online on how to obtain one with a username and a completely secured password.
When virtual systems first came into the picture, they were mostly shared spaces. Which means more than one user had access to the system which created a lot of traffic and clutter. Naturally, this caused the system to be slow and more susceptible to attack.
Nowadays, all VPS systems are completely personalized. You work in your own personal space without any oncoming traffic from other users. This makes the system work really fast and makes it less susceptible to attacks.
Because VPS server systems are personalized, it creates fewer chances of hacking incidents and such. Most spaces are heavily encrypted and cannot be viewed from a different source. The only time a third party has access to the system is when we allow them to and even then we decide the privileges they get.
