There are so many natural calamities and disasters that we hear on the news and experience ourselves like floods and earthquakes. The cause, many times, is because people have been reckless about taking care of our environment. The good thing is that there are a lot of organizations now that are trying to help make us all aware of the problems and the possible solutions to our environmental challenges.
I was going through some literature on the subject and one great way for us to help is via a simple means of recycling. Recycling involves processing used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from land filling) by reducing the need for “conventional” waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to virgin production. Now there is a website that allows a person to do their part. The site is called Freally.
Freally is a website where people can give away their unwanted items and others can receive them for free. It’s a website that promotes recycling and green earth through people’s generosity.
Their goals are:
1. To help the environment go green, and to reduce the amount of things going into the landfill!
2. To help us get rid of the things we do not need!
3. To help us exercise our generosity!
4. To have fun, after all, everybody loves free stuff!
