Cheap Knockoff MacBook Air From China Runs On Windows

The debate about which is better – a Mac (OS X) or a PC (Windows) has long been one of the arguments that never seems to end. Each side has their own reasons for trashing the reputation of the other. These are called fanboys/fangirls, and they usually have very strong opinions about this. Well, as if that wasn’t enough, along come the cheap knockoffs. It seems Apple is one of the primary targets for these low grade computers and gadgets.

There are a lot of people who think that when they buy a cheap knockoff of a product that they have wanted, they will save a lot of money and still get the same “gear.” That’s not really how it works, it’s quite the contrary. When you buy a cheap knockoff gadget, the only things you’re paying for are basically manufacturing costs and a whole lot of air. These cheap knockoffs usually don’t last that long when it comes to either standard or quality.

As I said, Apple seems to be particularly targeted when it comes to cheap knockoffs. The latest in a row of second grade gadgets is the AirBook. Yes, it’s an attempt to recreate the MacBook Air but turn it into a PC laptop. Confusing? Yeah, I have to agree! And it can’t be easy for people who don’t know anything about computers to know what they are getting for their hard earned money.

The AirBook is a super-thin notebook that recently underwent a product review. In proven Apple style, the review points out everything that is lightweight, slim and of course, unibody. But here is the kicker, it’s created out of plastic. Oh, and did I tell you that the Apple logo on the back lights up when you open this cheap knockoff computer? Well, it does. However, another thing that you might not know until you actually boot up the computer is that it runs on Windows. Yes, I guess this could be good news for everyone who really likes the Windows operating system. I use both, so I am not a very good debater for either one. The world is full of knockoffs. Don’t be fooled. If you want something specific, don’t take shortcuts. It’s never worth it in the end. In this case, you really do get what you pay for. This AirBook sells for $499.
