Did you know the way we wash our hands could be improved? I never thought about it until James Dyson introduced his Dyson Airblade Tap yesterday, but now that I think about it, he’s right. We wash our hands at a sink, and then we walk over to a towel or a hand dryer in a different location to dry them. Meanwhile, we drip water on the floor when walking from one place to the next. Describing the process this way even sounds kind of gross.
The Dyson Airblade Tap can change all that and optimize the process of hand washing. Mr. Dyson basically took the same technology from his Airblade Mk2 hand dryer and put it into the new Dyson Airblade Tap faucet. That’s right! This is a faucet and hand dryer all in one. That means no more walking away from the sink to dry your hands.
As if that wasn’t enough, this hand washing and drying system also makes the whole process faster. Not only will you be able to eliminate walking away from the sink to dry your hands, but the hand dryer incorporated into the Dyson Airblade Tap will dry your hands in only 12 seconds. That is what I call optimized!
I keep thinking about the bathrooms at the movie theater. Every time I wash and dry my hands in there, I feel like it takes forever. I usually zip out with them still a little wet so I can get back to the movie. That is one place that could really benefit from these faucets. This high tech faucet is being marketed to anywhere that has public restrooms, and hopefully movie theaters is on that list. Watch this video demonstration and be marveled. I suddenly think the way I’ve been washing and drying my hands is so lame!
