La Sardina Belle Start: Most Beautiful Lomography Camera Yet

With the ever expanding usage of photo services on the Internet, it seems that Instagram is the one that is growing the most. I made the mistake of calling it a photo sharing service at some point, and I was was quickly bombed to the core. Apparently you can’t really call it that. The service that Instagram provides has been adopted by millions and millions of amateur photographers around the world, and it is growing by the day. Any professional photographer would probably say that the service is destroying photos more than adding to them since the filters and add-ons severely crop the data in the photos to give them the look they achieve.

However, if you thought you would have to have Instagram or an app on your smartphone to plunk down the filter on top of your photos, then I am afraid you were out in the woods and in need of a little bit of guidance. The styles and colors that Instagram uses in their filters are actually taken straight from the phenomena of Lomo cameras. These low-end cameras are cherished by a lot of photographers around the world, and it’s because of their flaws that they have become so popular.

Their whole thing is to allow light to leak inside the camera which produces discolorations and odd picture defects that actually work in favor of the photograph’s style and look. One of the most inspiring Lomography cameras I have seen so far though has to be the La Sardina Belle Start. It has a steampunk look that is hard to take your eyes away from. It’s when photography gets this upgrade that we really know that our gear bag is starting to expand in the right way. This puppy is available for purchase for just $250 and can be fitted with all kinds of stuff. Just head over to the exclusive Lomography website, and you will have a blast browsing around.
