Retro Desktop Main Station iPad & iPhone Dock Feels So ’80s

Sometimes the future seems so boring, and all you want is to head back to the past, if only for a couple days. That’s usually how I feel every time there is a new gadget that gets announced. Not that there’s anything wrong with new gadgets getting released, but it’s happening at an ever increasing pace. You almost can’t buy a gadget today and feel good about it for more than a couple weeks before you wish you would have waited in order to get an even newer one. Today I totally had to go a little bit retro, and I searched for something cool. I might have stumbled over something that will make that retro desktop system main station (the one you could only see on the TV back in the days when you were young) fit right into your own reality.

It’s an iPad dock that is about the steamiest you could ever imagine. It’s actually a Speaker Dock for your iPad and iPhone, but it has a ton of other features that will totally make you a retro traveler in an instant. It is equipped with a Bluetooth keyboard, speakers, 5W subwoofer, USB and MicroSD support. That’s not half bad for an iPad dock disguised a retro desktop main station that will only set you back a mere $72.00.

I would call that a steal actually. The whole rig itself looks like a retro typewriter or a small retro desktop main station computer similar to the IBM home computers people used to have. Computing on this retro desktop badboy will be a pleasure only worthy of geeks. There is something about typing on a real keyboard that can never be replaced by a touchscreen. It’s faster, and you can really feel that you are entering stuff into your computer. Sometimes touching a screen is just not inspiring enough, and you need something like this to boost that inspiration of yours. It’s when the retro gadgets become cooler than what is presented as future gadgets that you know the future is nothing but optimization gone wrong. I say, bring on the retro desktop stuff and do it quick! This future incremental upgrade junk we’re fed these days is boring me!
