Steampunk Skull: Bionic Is An Understatement

How far are we able to take steampunk before it gets all weird and on the edge of bizarre? The simple answer to that question seems to be: Never. Whatever your heart desires to steampunk and whatever your creativity is able to muster is probably where it all ends. However, since we are used to the fantastic ability for creativity to develop and evolve that edge will probably never be reached. Therefore, I give you a steampunked Vervet monkey skull.

Designer and steampunk extraordinaire Lisa Black of Lisa Black Creations has created what could only be described as one of the most beautiful skull modifications I have ever seen, not that I have seen that many but that isn’t the point. The creativity and execution of the details are just amazing.

By using an antique clock and some watch parts, along with some metal components, this steampunk skull comes to life in a whole different way than it originally did when the monkey was alive. Lisa’s creations does not only marvel, but they also create an uneasy feeling of concern, not in a bad way, but in a way that makes you think about the value of the living instead of the static and stagnated when something is dead. This is a truly amazing creation, however bizarre.
