Using Stellar Converter For OLM – Hands-On Experience
I downloaded Stellar Converter for OLM from the official product page, purchased the license key, and activated the software. The process was seamless and took me no more than a few minutes. After the program was activated, I launched it from the desktop shortcut. The following window was displayed:
The software provided two ways to link the OLM file. You can click the Browse button and provide the OLM file’s path manually. Or, you can click the Find button and select the folder or hard drive partition from where you want the find the OLM file.
Since I knew where the OLM file was located, I picked the first option. Then I clicked the Convert button, and the application began to convert the file. It provided the status of the scan in real-time via a progress bar. Once it was done, it previewed the OLM mailbox items in a three-pane window, as shown below.
In the left pane, all the OLM items were neatly organized in a tree structure that could be expanded. The middle pane listed all the items of the selected folder, and the right pane provided a detailed preview of the select item in the middle pane.
I reviewed the contents of the OLM file and selected the folders I wanted to save to a PST file. Then I clicked the Save Converted Mailbox button on the top, under the Home tab. The program then offered three options i.e. three file formats to save the converted file. These were PST, MSG, and EML.
I clicked PST and then clicked the Next button. Then, I selected the Save as a new Outlook PST file option as I wanted to save the data in a fresh Outlook data file. Next, I provided a location for saving the converted file by clicking the Browse button.
Once the program saved the converted file successfully on my system, it displayed an alert window as shown below.
The entire process of converting my OLM file into PST file was extremely smooth. The controls and functions in the application are so intuitive that I faced no difficulties in converting my Mac Outlook’s data file into PST.
