Sweetbox Raspberry Pi Case: The Super Safe Way To Transport Your Pi

When the Raspberry Pi was first introduced, I think many people were truly excited but didn’t think it would make the kind of impact it has. The fact that it didn’t even come with a case seemed to confuse a lot of people. The mindset was usually, “Why would I buy a ‘computer’ when it’s not even finished?” The way things are marketed in our society is by encapsulating it in a beautiful “box.” Well, the Raspberry Pi turned all that upside down. What you get is an extremely powerful piece of technology that comes in a cardboard box. That is pretty much it. Creative minds around the world quickly realized its potential and started brainstorming. Out of one of those brainstorming sessions came the Sweetbox, a skin-tight Raspberry Pi case to die for.

This new and innovative case called the Sweetbox is what could potentially make the Raspberry Pi even more popular. Its complete and beautiful execution and robust safety design makes it one of the most durable and mobile cases to date. The case allows you to still put the little micro computer into your pocket. No more worrying about components getting scratched by coins, keys or whatever else you are carrying in your pocket. You could, by the looks of the video, even hand it over to your mini me and let him or her play around with it. It will still work. Hopefully.

But there is a catch. The Sweetbox Raspberry Pi case is not yet a commercial product. It’s actually a startup product that is looking for funding over at Kickstarter. The project itself has gained a lot of interest from the Raspberry Pi community and is most likely to gain the same popularity among tech enthusiasts all around the world. In order for the Sweetbox case to become commercially ready, they need to raise £20,000. With just 11 days to go, they are only at £3,000. As of right now, if you want this case to become a reality, you can pledge £19 and get the case and 3 heatsinks to make sure it will never overheat. It’s totally worth it if you are a Raspberry Pi fanatic. Check out this video for more in-depth information about this highly durable Sweetbox case.
