Terrafugia To Start Marketing Two Flying Car Models In 2015

When will we be able to buy a flying car? That is a question that has been on a lot of people’s minds for decades now. Many have tried to build the first flying car meant for the general public, but it seems there has been too much red tape to actually make it a financial success. In order to fly one, you would no doubt need a pilot certificate of some kind. The newly announced TF-X from Terrafugia could definitely make flying cars a reality.

It sounds highly improbably that we’ll see flying cars anytime soon, and I am prepared to say that most of you who read this will agree. But the fact of the matter is because of that, building a flying car could be possible. Have a look at legendary entrepreneurs like Richard Branson and Elon Musk for example, they continuously go against what most people say, which is that what they are doing can’t be done.

For Terrafugia, the impossible is something that has to be made possible, it’s just that simple. About 5 years ago, Terrafugia announced they were in the process of developing a flying car. Many people said they couldn’t do it. Now it’s a couple years later, and an epic demonstration showed it was in fact possible. The experimental aircraft flew and quite well I might add.

Now it’s a few years after that, and people are wondering what happened to Terrafugia’s epic plans. The company seems to have rightfully focused on perfecting their flying car. They have announced that their two flying car models, Transition and TF-X, are expected to be marketed in 2015. Don’t go thinking you will just have to cough up the cash and then get on flying with your new dream toy, it’s not exactly that simple unfortunately. The red tape surrounding even being able to fly a vehicle is dense, and you will most likely have to get a pilot certificate before even being allowed to start the darn aircraft.

A good thing is that now that both Richard Branson and Elon Musk have set their eyes on space, there is a very good chance that with developers like Terrafugia, the average Joe (like you and me), will someday be able to take our car sitting in the garage, drive it off, and transform it into a flying car whenever we feel like it. Will it happen in 2015? The rumor has it that it will, but you never know. We’ll just have to wait and see.
