Now that technology is in such a progressive phase, you might start asking yourself where the next trends will come from. There are a whole lot of different factors that have to be considered in order to get a conclusive answer to that question. There’s no doubt that technology companies are innovating on the border of the future right now, and with that comes a whole lot of new technology. One of the most progressive forms of technology is wearable tech.
We see it all over the place. Nike has their wristband, a new kind of wi-fi jacket was recently announced, and the list goes on and on seemingly forever. Even Google is getting into the battle with their Google Glasses project. I think it is safe to say that wearable tech is going to be the biggest trend of 2013. We only have to go to websites like IndieGoGo or Kickstarter in order to see proof of this. There are almost an unlimited number of startups whose only wish is to innovate the next big thing in wearable technology. And to be honest, I think during 2013 we are going to see one of these startups become the winner in the race to gain the most customers.
To further anchor this trend, VoucherCodes recently put together an infographic that points out some of the already “existing” wearable technologies that might become popular in 2013. The infographic itself is called Wearable Tech: The New Wave, and gives us a wider look at what we can come to expect out of wearable tech in the upcoming future.
The thing is, wearable tech is so much more than just watches, glasses and fancy GPS solutions. The ability to incorporate wearable tech into our every day life, which will enhance our lifestyles and help optimize our living, is where the truly successful products will come from. Whatever that is could of course be speculated for a long time. While we are all determined to figure that out, these new startup companies have already, in their own opinion, come up with the next big thing in wearable tech. All we have to do is to wait for them to realize their dreams. Can you think of any cool wearable tech that is not yet on this list?
