YouTube Introduces Realtime Trends Map For Viral Videos

YouTube has always been a great source for entertainment and laughter. Not only that, but it’s also a great source for education as well. Even for marketers, the social media video service has had a huge impact on sales and the success of brands and companies. But finding the viral videos on YouTube has always been an endeavor. YouTube is looking to patch that inconvenience, and they just announced a newly launched realtime trends map that shows viral videos across the United States.

This realtime trends map lets you explore the most popular videos by city and region in a way that you haven’t been able to do before. YouTubers now have a whole new way to watch what’s up and coming as well as what just became viral. This is definitely beneficial for both YouTubers as well as brands looking to use this social media service to promote their video content.

This way, brands will have a way to tailor their marketing videos by looking at what is viral at the same moment they are creating their content. This makes for a more optimized solution which will increase the “hit rate” of their campaign when it is later unleashed. The YouTube trends map is useful for a lot of reasons, but one of the most important is of course that the exploration and discovery of good videos has been simplified a lot.

The YouTube trends map can be customized in a lot of different ways, including by gender, age group and type of activity such as shares or views. As if that wasn’t enough, it is also highly interactive, meaning you will be able to watch the trending and viral videos directly on the trends map page by clicking on the thumbnails of the viral videos presented. We will have to wait and see whether or not this will help YouTubers discover more viral content faster. One thing is for sure, if you spend a lot of time on YouTube already, this isn’t exactly going to help you cut down on your addiction.
