Christmas is always going to be hectic, and pretty much everyone is doing their shopping at the last minute. Why that is, I have no idea. Maybe it’s because we’re too busy trying to finish up work before going on holiday. Either way, we seem to spend pretty much all of that money we earn on Christmas presents, food and everything else that can make us enjoy Christmas more. However, there are also people out there that are battling a problem, which is pretty much unbearable during Christmas. I am talking about shopaholics. Their only objective is to buy as much as possible, no matter if they need it or not, just to make themselves feel better.
The artwork created by designer Anthony Schmitt is a sure testament to the overloaded amount of shopping we’re doing every Christmas. And, if you happen to be a shopaholic yourself, I am sure you’re going to like it. Anthony created what we could consider to be the most epic Christmas tree we have ever seen.
Created entirely out of 86 shopping carts, this badboy stands as tall as you can see. With a little trick at the top using smaller shopping carts, it seems to look taller than it actually is. The trick is called forced perspective, but it doesn’t make the Christmas tree any less impressive. From a distance, it almost looks like an aluminum Christmas tree just like those you could find in stores during the 1960’s.
