It’s interesting that during these economic times when many people are sticking to a strict budget, some people are using technology to find creative ways to get things done in a way that costs less money than it usually would.
For example, several months ago I wrote about an iPhone app called TaskRabbit. Not only does that app allow people to get their errands run for less money than hiring a professional service, it also allows people to use it as a money making endeavor since anyone can apply to be a task rabbit. I know of one person who actually did that.
This app is similarly useful, and it has to do with looking good, which is important in any type of economy, right? Let’s say for example that you have an important interview to go to, and you need a pair of classic black heels. Or, maybe you have a dinner date, and you want an especially cute dress to wear. Instead of going out and spending your money to purchase these things (especially if you’re only going to wear them once or twice), the Closet Swap app allows you to simply trade and share clothes with your Facebook friends.
To be a part of it, you simply build your virtual closet. You can upload pictures of what you are willing to share, or even tag existing Facebook photos with you wearing the items you’d like to share. This is cool on so many levels! You can learn more about this on Closet Swap or download the free app on iTunes.
