Mouse App Turns Your iPhone Into A Genius Smart Mouse Solution

A mouse can be such a time saver when you’re working on a laptop or a desktop computer, especially when it’s a wireless mouse solution. The trackpad has come to be an annoyance in my work. It’s too slow, and the precision is not very accurate. If you think about it, a trackpad really takes about 2-3 times as long to take you from A to B, and that can slow your work down quite significantly. With our smartphones comes a lot of possibilities. We can even turn it into a mouse with a mouse app.

You might remember a startup that I wrote about a few weeks ago. It is called Mauz and was a little add-on to your iPhone that would turn it into a mouse device. It is a really cool concept, but since I have started to look into the area when it comes to mouse app technologies, it turns out there is actually a mouse app already available. It’s called Mobile Mouse, and the cool thing about it is that you don’t need an add-on to make it work.

This mouse app uses Bluetooth to kickstart your iPhone as a mouse device. It will even allow you to use it as a gesture device. As a matter of fact, this mouse app turns your iPhone or iPod Touch into a wireless, multi-touch trackpad mouse, in-air mouse, remote, and keyboard for your Mac or PC. Now that is what I call a really useful utility app.

I must admit that when I wrote about the Mauz startup, I had no idea there was a mouse app available already that is as powerful, if not even more powerful, than the add-on solution. This thing could turn any struggling trackpad user into an efficient computer ninja. The fact that it has so many different areas where it can be utilized is something that definitely makes it a whole lot more groundbreaking. I am particularly excited about the in-air mouse capabilities and the remote control solution. This app will come in real handy when you’re working that iTunes library of movies you have purchased, or just making sure you are navigating a whole lot quicker without a real mouse around. The best part is really the price. The app is made available through the App Store and sells for just $1.99. Now that’s a bargain! (The mouse app has been updated for iPhone 5 and iOS 6)
