Adult Cereal Boxes For The Grown-Up Kid

When I was little, I was one of those kids who entered the grocery store and immediately ran to the cereal aisle to see if I could find the most epic cereal box of the week. Some of the boxes had a little toy in them, and finding those was of course always my primary goal. The nutrition factor and the actual flavor of the cereal itself didn’t really matter too much. They were all packed with sugar, so it didn’t really cross my mind that they had different flavors. Today it’s a whole different thing. Cereal is all stuffed with whole grain and all kinds of other good stuff. As an adult, the cereal boxes aren’t exactly appealing anymore. With a little bit of creativity though, there can be adult cereal boxes in the world.

It is all made possible through the creativity of photographer Li Jieying and illustrator Guillermo Fajardo. Together they have produced a series of really epic adult cereal boxes. If you were ever to find these in the cereal aisle, you would totally want to buy one of them. They are all made based upon inspiration from already existing cereal boxes but with an adult cereal theme added to them.

The series called “Breakfast Time” is one of those creative creations that will have you wrinkle your nose or completely flip out in laughter. They are the perfect addition to the Halloween theme that is coming up, and there is no denying that these adult cereal boxes will have a special place in your cabinet. Since putting some of these on the table when your kid is about to eat breakfast might cause a small riot, or maybe even a high pitched scream, it’s best to keep them hidden at least till you are alone at the table. With these you might even have to wake up an hour earlier if you want to enjoy your breakfast with cereal. Adult cereal boxes might not be the best of ideas commercially, but they definitely get a high rating in my book for creativity.
