Doing mind puzzles is one of the greatest pastimes I can think of. I constantly do them, and if I find one in a store that I don’t already have, it’s bought even before I have even taken it off the shelf. The exercise it yields is a great way to start the day, and it is also a great way to stay alert and young as you get older. The brain is also a muscle which needs exercise, so staying idle and just “rolling along” is probably the worst thing you can do.
Therefore I have found something that is super easy, creative and also brilliantly mind boggling. With just three pieces of paper, a few crayons and some tape you can create something that you and your friends won’t believe. Just cut the papers into three similar sized squares. Draw the lines that simulate where the folds are going to be placed and then start to color them.
The pattern has to be exactly like it is in the video; however, you can of course switch out the colors if you want to. When done, just tape them together and start folding. The result is something that you are going to ponder for a great while. This is origami when at its best, and at least I am going to try it tomorrow when I have my morning tea. There’s nothing like starting the day with a bit of brain exercise.
