A Never Before Seen Look Inside An AT-AT Imperial Walker

Of all the things unleashed into the world, Star Wars is probably the one thing that keeps us wondering about  technology the most.  We see the gear, the vehicles, and the gizmos, but we never get to see the insides of them, at least not the really cool ones.  The Millennium Falcon is a good example of how we’re treated to some eye candy, yet it’s kind of obvious what it is all about.  However, what about all the other stuff in those movies that we never get to enter?  There is a door here and there, but they pretty much never open up.  Sure, they couldn’t go through a whole movie just showing us the goodies, that’s not what I mean.  There is stuff in there that packs the shape of something so intriguing that you just want to step inside and check out what the heck it is all about.

One such vehicle is, of course, the AT-AT Imperial Walker.  It’s one of those awesome creations that really makes Star Wars so freakishly cool and awesome.  Whoever sat down, imagined and drew this awesome picture and added all the specs must have a lot of time on his or her hands.  Just look at this picture and marvel over the number of details.  It’s mind numbingly cool and whether it is true or not, well, I don’t really care.  It’s just one of those things that really pushes your brain off the edge and makes you wonder why the hell the Imperial peeps put legs on that thing in the first place.

I mean, with all the technology they could have put to good use on this awesome thing, they go with LEGS!  A bit of wire strung across two trees and it was down.  Talk about bad planning from an engineering point of view.  Well, it’s all about the goodies right?  And you can just sit there and read, read and read.  It’s just brilliant, all of it!
