It’s that time of year again! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays since it kicks off the whole holiday season full of friends, family and fun. Here in the States, this month will be filled with carving pumpkins, eating pumpkin pie, and getting ready for the big night on October 31st. In case you are wondering, yes, that is a picture of Richard in the image on the left. We really want to include you, our dear readers, in our Halloween celebration this year. We decided the best way to do that would be to have a giveaway!
We’ve teamed up with some incredible partners to bring you a bushel of spooktacular Halloween goodies. BuyStarWarsCostumes.com, X-Treme Geek, Think Geek and Masterpiece Pumpkins have all been very kind and generous in their support (Thank you very much!), and they’re giving away some seriously kick ass stuff to our readers.
Secretly, I wish I could keep all this for us, so we better give it all away quickly before we do that. You know we looooove Star Wars here on Bit Rebels, and we decided to give these things to the most deserving Star Wars geeks out there. After watching The Empire Strikes Back this morning for what must be the five trillionth time, I’ve come up with a trivia question worthy of this giveaway. If you’ve only watched the Star Wars movies once or twice, this could be a big challenge for you. If you’ve watched those movies more times than should be legal (like us) or if you are quick and crafty on Google, this will probably be a piece of cake for you. The rules are simple, and in the picture below, I’ve given you your first hint. Just follow the directions to win. Good luck!
Star Wars Trivia Question:
What little beings worked the control panel in Cloud City’s carbon freeze chamber as Han Solo was being entombed in carbonite?
1. Tweet this with your answer to the trivia question in the space. (Hint #2: You know the answer has to fit in this tweet)
I entered the Bit Rebels Halloween giveaway. You can too! Answer to trivia question is ________. #BitRebelsHalloween http://bit.ly/8jHEC
2. Tell us in a comment below which item you would like to win. Please put your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. Be sure to include your Twitter username so we can match it up with your tweet.
3. Follow @bitrebels on Twitter so we can send you a direct message to let you know if/when you win!
You must tweet the hashtag otherwise your tweet won’t be considered. If you are a winner, although we cannot promise that you will get your 1st choice prize, we will do our best to work it out. Please understand and agree before you enter that you may win any of the available prizes. The giveaway will be open until we have 12 winners, which could take 10 minutes or 10 days.
The first 12 people to tweet the correct answer will be winners!
Prize: Custom carved, very evil, Darth Vader pumpkin created for one geeky Bit Rebels reader.
Website: Masterpiece Pumpkins
Info: We at Bit Rebels have commissioned master pumpkin carver Gene Granata from Masterpiece Pumpkins to make a very special one-of-a-kind pumpkin for one of our readers. He will carve a Darth Vader into an artificial black pumpkin (so it will last for many years) just for you. It comes complete with a battery-operated light for the inside so it will illuminate in all its Star Wars glory for everyone to see. This is our gift to you this Halloween!
The image above is not what your pumpkin will look like, since yours will be a little different, and it will be carved on a black pumpkin. However, this is just so you can see an example of another Darth Vader pumpkin Gene carved. When he is finished carving yours, I will pack it up myself and ship it to you anywhere in the world, free of charge, directly from my office in Atlanta.
