Computers: An Awesome Chronological Timeline [Infographic]

If you are a geek then you know it is absolutely necessary for you to at least know some things when it comes to computers.  For example, if you don’t know what the Commodore 64 was capable of or if you have never marveled over the graphics that the Amiga 500 could generate, you have a few miles to go until you can call yourself a true technology geek.  Sure, there are geeks within pretty much every area you can think of, but to be a computer geek, you need to have some skills with the kills if you know what I mean.  There is no bragging without the fragging.  It’s just as simple as that, and there is no getting around it.

But never fear!  Thanks to Tech King (again) you will be able to school yourself in an instant.  With a little bit of discipline and a few hours later, you’ll beat even the most hardcore geek in knowing the names, released year, and a little curious information about each and every important computer or console ever released since back in 1939.

In this geeky and truly informative, almost epic, infographic, you’ll be able to see pretty much every single computer (and some consoles, pads and other computer hybrids) and when they were released.  So, did you know that Hewlett-Packard was founded in California in 1939?  Sheesh, who would have known that the cool HP 200A Sound Oscillator would be a forgotten legend by the time Bill Gates and Steve Jobs started going head to head with each other?
