Dog Cosplay: 12 Ridiculously Amazing Pet Costumes

The world is becoming ever more weird! Even though I don’t personally have any pets these days, I have been the proud owner of a cat, a bird and some goldfish at different points in my life. I remember the shelves at the store with various items for our pets to play with. There were all kinds of things, and I found myself being amazed at how much creativity the manufacturers had. They certainly didn’t lack any imagination. This was back when a net ball with a bell inside was the top notch toy to get for a cat. Of course, it ultimately became the prime annoyance of the cat owner. However, we bought it anyway, and went merry on home. After all, nothing is good enough for our pets anymore.

Things have certainly come a long way since then, and even though I am sure I haven’t even glanced at the pet store shelves in years, it dawned on me that there must have been some progress in the creations now available for our pets. Boy was I right! I was even slightly scared to find out that you can now include your pet in the Halloween party we throw once a year. Yup, the guys over at Party City have everything you will ever need to pimp out your dog (and I am quite sure you will find cat stuff there too).

They have a rather pimpin’ collection of dog cosplay costumes that at least I find not only amazingly cool but also ultimately freaky. When did we start putting clothes on our pets by the way? Did I totally miss something? I mean, what is the pet saying in all of this? Even though there are of course minor concerns about the… let’s say the mental state in which we force our dog into, I am sure these will make any dog proud for being a thrillerish addition to the party. I start wondering where the hell we might be in 10 years when this is the trend of today. Oh lord!
