Epic 54 Pound Lego Battlestar Galactica Ship

I am back in the Lego bucket again, and this time I think I have dug up something mighty impressive. It’s something that will have even the most hardcore Lego fanatic drooling just because of its epicness. My latest Lego article, the Gears of War rifle, might have been a technically advanced build, but the number of Lego blocks that went into it doesn’t compare to what I am about to show you peeps. I have always thought that Lego builds were measured in the number of blocks used and nothing else. As it turns out, I have been wrong all along. Apparently it is measured in pounds, and that is something that will make a whole lot of builds just a tad less impressive to some people I guess.

The reason for the change in measurement is Garry King and his latest epic Lego build. When you talk about Garry, there is no way you can not mention his constant and creative approach to large spaceships. His latest one is a replica of one of the battleships in Battlestar Galactica. The ship weighs 54 pounds and measures 73 inches long by 24 inches wide by 14 inches high. That is a heck of a build if you ask me.

The photos of this mammoth ship don’t do it justice since I am sure those 54 pounds of Lego aren’t just in the exterior of the ship. Detail is something Lego fanatics are always adding, and it would be beyond me if this badboy didn’t have a full interior design carefully created using Lego as well. You have to admit that this thing is nothing less than impressive, right? Just look at the amount of blocks this ships has incorporated in it. This is truly not a toy for your average 7-year old. I mean, the kid wouldn’t even be able to carry it. Super impressive!
