For most people, shooting a multimillion dollar movie is not exactly an option. They have to find more creative ways to produce what’s in their minds. A vision can be as clear as day, but when you only have small amount of resources to realize it, creativity is your only savior. When The Blair Witch Project was screened for the first time, people were scared out of their pants. No one could believe it was shot on a minimum budget of just $60,000, and yet it made over $250 million at the box office.
It proves that you don’t need an epic budget to shoot something that will keep people on the edge of their seats. When it comes to fandom and what fans are able to create, it’s always impressive to see what they can come up with on a minimum budget that will allow a slim to none chance of adding anything extra. But creativity is the mother of all things, and that’s what becomes apparent when you look at what the guys over at CINEFIX were able to accomplish when trying to recreate one of the most epic movie scenes in the history of science fiction. I am of course talking about the Star Wars trench run.
Even though it was created on a minimum budget, the team wanted to stay true to every detail. When you have a look at it, you will be ultimately surprised at what they have been able to accomplish on such a small budget. Sure, it might not be the epic budget that Star Wars was originally produced on, but this more than recreates the epic events that created one of the world’s most recognized movie franchises.
Seeing something so geeky and knowing that it was created out of sheer dedication and creativity is a testament to what geeks high on creativity are really able to accomplish. Have a look at it, and marvel over the amazing attention to detail the guys over at CINEFIX have managed to incorporate.
