I have to admit; it’s been a while since I’ve gotten excited over a lightsaber. It was fun watching this lightsaber flash mob and this dog that could fight with a lightsaber. It was also neat to learn how to build a lightsaber. However, for the most part, they are old news. Well, at least I thought that was true until I watched this 38-second video that made me laugh so hard that I had to watch it again and again.
Here is a little bit of lightsaber trivia I bet you didn’t know. According to Random Facts and Useless Trivia, at first there were only blue and red lightsabers in Star Wars. The Jedi used the blue ones and Darth Vader used a red one. However, in Return of the Jedi, they had to create a green lightsaber because the blue ones didn’t contrast well in the fight scenes. The blue color was too similar to the sky in those scenes. Then there was my favorite lightsaber of all, the purple one. Samuel L. Jackson requested that one, and he even went so far as to negotiate it into his contract when he signed on to play Mace Windu.
YouTube user Nihilect was obviously practicing his editing skills when he made this video, and in my opinion, it is brilliant! Even the sound effects are funny. I think if Obi-Wan Kenobi were to watch this clip, he would say that the force is strong with this one. After all, she completely goes Jedi on their asses! Dang, if only lightsabers weren’t fictional.
