Star Wars Vector Art: This Is Pure Brilliance

I am a huge admirer of vector art. Every chance I get, I study its intricate patterns and delve into the millions of tutorials on the web about making realistic portraits and whatnot. I usually work in Photoshop, but I have found Illustrator to be somewhat of a second outlet for me when it comes to creativity. Of course, I am still learning and making things look real hasn’t yet come up on my to-do list. I have; however, created a few tutorials for Photoshop where realism is the core of the project (How To Create A Realistic Game Boy and How To Create A Realistic iPhone for example). But those are not in vector, so I sometimes feel a little bummed out about not being able to size them however I want without getting the full lossless pixel perfection.

Someone I look up to is designer and vector pioneer Jessica Finson. Her art is some of the best I have ever seen, and it happens to be her Star Wars vector art that I find most intriguing. At first glance, they look like they are created by pencil, brush or even in Photoshop, but you can be quite sure that these awesome pictures are created entirely out of vectors. To that I only have one thing to say, it’s pure awesomeness and brilliance!

I have a few other artists and designers I truly look up to also, and maybe I should write a few articles about them as well. I must say that these are probably my favorites when it comes to motifs and execution. They are simply stunning, and I need to figure out if there is a way to get them as posters, or a way to get a signed numbered copy. Either way, these have to be the most lifelike and realistic vector graphics of Star Wars characters ever created.
