If you are a geek, and if you have any sense of interior design at all, then you spend some time making sure that your surroundings match your personality. It’s a lot of fun creating an inspiring geeky environment to live and work in, but it can also be draining since sometimes it’s hard to find just the right pieces to fit our unique decor needs.
For me, I know that one room that never ever gets my decorating attention is the bathroom. I’ve got a couple pictures on the wall and a Star Wars Jedi bathrobe hanging on the back of the door, but other than that, there is no evidence that a geek lives in this house if you just look at the bathroom.
If you are like me, and if your bathroom looks the same now as it did back in the 90s, then I suggest it’s time for a change. This Battlestar Galactica toilet paper holder could be just what we need to spice up that neglected room in our homes. This spectacular little design is made from welded steel and has flashing LED eyes. The toilet paper comes right out of that Cylon’s mouth. The only thing about this insanely cool design that is creepy is that this dude would be watching me in the bathroom, but other than that, I’m down with it. Unfortunately this was some fabulous geek’s one-of-a-kind DIY home project that he just sold here on Etsy a few days ago for only $100. Daaaaaangit! It could have been mine. Since there is a Battlestar film supposedly coming out in 2012, maybe he’ll build another one. Or, maybe he’ll build two more, one for you and one for me.
