Your Favorite Cartoon Kids All Grown Up

As kids, we all had a cartoon series that we liked better than all the others, am I right? As we grew up, the cartoons changed, and we no longer fancied the ones we previously liked so much. The reason for that is of course that the cartoons didn’t grow along with us. They stayed as they were, and we saw them become the new cool for a new generation of children. The older we got, the older the cartoons were that we liked. That kept going until we became adults and started watching motion pictures with Hollywood special effects and a bunch of action in them. However, what if these cartoon kids grew up as well, then what?

First and foremost, I think that we would have stayed with them a lot longer, but the creators would have probably missed out on the younger generation idolizing the characters. Plus, the characters would at some point become old, and a new cartoon would have to be created. Well, that is of course a scenario that we are unlikely to see, but it would still be kind of interesting to know what our favorite cartoons would look like if they were just a little bit older.

I found some popular cartoons imagined as a little bit older then they actually are, and when having a look at these, I get such a weird feeling. It’s like watching something that should never have been, if you know what I mean. Some of them are truly awkward, and I keep telling myself that after this peek, I need to block these images out of my head in order to be able to look at these characters like they really are, which is young and funny. Now the big question is whether these images just ruined it for you as well, or if they have actually brought another perspective to these characters. What do you think? Will your favorite cartoons ever be the same after having checked these out?
