I’m almost sure that when you first got into vaping, you had a few health and safety concerns.  It can be a very controversial topic when it comes to CBD vape oil and ejuice depending on what angle you are approaching it from.

Today we will look at the safety of both CBD vape oil as well as vape ejuice. But before I do, I want to thank the folks who run the Hot Juice website, it was one of the only sites I could find that had well-researched information to help me write this article. So, Thank You!

There are lots of reasons why people decide to turn to vaping. Maybe it’s because you are trying to cut back on your current cigarette smoking habit.

Maybe you have never tried a cigarette in your life and you want to enjoy the pleasure and experience of vaping all those delicious flavors with your friends.

Either way, most people when they start vaping have concerns about not only CBD oils and vape juices, they also have concerns over the devices themselves and their safety.  Today, we will focus on the actual product you are putting into your body – the CBD oil and ejuices.

CBD Vape Oil Versus Vape Juice

If you’re new to vaping you may be wondering what the difference is between CBD vape oil and regular vape juice and possibly wondering if one is “safer” than the other.

To start, CBD oil is basically the carrier and the vape juice is where the flavor comes from.  CBD Vape Oil is very concentrated and contains oils such as vegetable oil, canola oil, or even hemp oil to make the product.  You would usually buy CBD oil by itself to be administered under the tongue, and not to vape.

But vegetable oils like olive oil, typically used in CBD vape oil tends to be too thick, so ejuice companies have to use some sort of thinning agent in the ejuice so that they can be vaped properly.

This is essentially what Propylene Glycol (PG) is used for.  We will get to that in a minute. CBD Vape juice is made to be inhaled and vaporized to produce the steam or the cloud. So when you break it down, they are very different components of the finished product, although you can purchase them separately.

CBD Vape Juice – Is It Safe?

The real question is about the nicotine levels and possible chemicals in the CBD vape juice.

An article on MedicalXpress states that “nicotine or other molecules found in e-cigarettes can still affect lung health”. But luckily, CBD Vape products do not contain nicotine.

Another factor that you may not recognize is the actual growing practices of the marijuana plants.  Manufactures who grow their own marijuana have to figure out whether they want to use pesticides on their crop.  It can be risky because there is a chance that the chemicals from the pesticides can get into the finished product.

In the vaping community, they will argue that if you smoked two packs of cigarettes a day and you switch to vaping it is “better” for you in the long run and you can even quit completely by switching to vaping.

On the other side, you have the people that say that vaping is a “gateway” that can lead to cigarette smoking. Everyone has their own opinions on this matter and if you look at both sides of the argument you can see some truth to possibly both sides.

CBD Oil Vape – Vegetable Glycerin (VG) And Propylene Glycol (PG)?

The choice between VG and PG ratios when choosing ejuices can sometimes be confusing, especially if you are new to vaping.  The reason I bring it up in this safety article is that I know there are some out there that might be a little worried as to what they are putting into their bodies.

All eliquid is made from Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycol. Both of these, including diacetyl which is very similar, are non-toxic compounds and are considered fairly safe by the FDA.

If you were to look at the ingredients of many food items and in your pantry as well as personal care products, you will notice vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol in them.

People who use smaller devices like e-cigarettes tend to like a higher PG mixture because it’s thinner in consistency and doesn’t clog up their devices as fast. It’s tasteless and odorless which allows you to get the full flavor from your eliquid.

The worst thing that been known to happen is people can have an allergic reaction to it, but it’s not common.  You feel something like an itchy throat, but it’s nothing serious.

When it comes to Vegetable Glycerin, if you want a bigger cloud on the exhales, then you are going to go with a higher ratio, usually somewhere around 70 VG/30 PG ratio.   VG is usually more popular with the box mods and larger devices because of the cloud effect.

VG also has a sweeter taste typically and has less of a throat hit along with being thicker and slower absorbing in devices with a wick.

In terms of safety, the biggest complaint I’ve heard and read about is phlegm building up in the throat.  On the other side of that, it won’t cause as many allergic reactions as PG has the capability of producing.  So as you can see, there are no big health risks with these two ingredients.

Best CBD Vape Oil On The Market

Now that you know a little more about CBD ejuice, you are probably wondering what’s the best CBD vape oil on the market today.  Honestly it can be a little harder to decipher when you are newer to vaping but you will immediately notice that there are cheap CBD vape oils and “premium” CBD vape oils on the market.

Let’s start with the cheap CBD oils.  Firstly, they can ruin the device that you are using. It can ruin your tank and your coils for example extremely fast.  You will notice something is not right in as little as 24 hours.

Secondly, the ejuice might look cloudy.  This is usually the first thing you notice.

Thirdly, you will notice the smell right away doesn’t smell like it says on the package. It’s usually a harsh smell that doesn’t sit right with you.  Trust me, you’ll know right away.  Why even vape it at this point right?

I’m sure you can guess the last one – taste.  It will taste horrible and leave an oily residue in your mouth.  The whole experience will be enough to turn you off. Now I’m not saying that all cheaper ejuice flavors are bad. I’m just saying be aware of what you could potentially be getting into before you buy a cheaper product.

The best CBD vape oil will be the premium products at a premium price.   They are always carefully tested within a lab and mixed with the precise VG/PG ratios in mind.  These premium products will always contain the right amounts of nicotine and will be made fresh every time.

Flavor combinations have such a big role in the quality of the product as well.  Imagine the science and art that goes into making the perfect batch of a bubble gum flavored eliqued for example.  The premium products will always take more time to make and they can’t be mass produced as much as the cheaper ones.

Everything must be precise to give the consumer that perfect, satisfying experience every time.

In conclusion, vaping is typically deemed as being a safer alternative to cigarette smoking no matter what angle you approach it from.  I encourage you to always make sure you purchase the best CBD vape oil on the market if you can so you can have the most pleasurable experience possible.
