Living In A Dumpster: The Insane Container Conversion

I am sure that every single one of you has at some point come home to a messy home thinking you live in a dumpster, right? It happens to all of us. Usually when that happens, we get straight to tidying things up, and after a few minutes, things are as clean as our home will ever get. It’s just the daily chores that we go through I guess. Depending on the size of your home, there is of course a slight difference in the effort it takes to keep it squeaky clean for any period of time. The smaller it is, the easier it is to keep clean. Is there anyone out there who thinks about these things when they are looking for their new home? I mean, does size matter when it comes to the quality of living versus the time it takes to clean it?

For Gregory Lincoln Kloehn, apparently it does. He took a real dumpster and converted it into what can only be described as a small living space. However, don’t be fooled by the small size of this thing because it pretty much has everything you can think of. Or rather, it can be converted into whatever it is you want. It can be a comfortable home, a barbecue hangout or a relaxation deck. It has a shower, and inside you can shoot popcorn to the people on the outside.

It is like Gregory says, “a home is what you make of it,” and I think he’s absolutely right about that. I don’t know if I would go as far as to live in such a small thing, but it sure could come in handy on vacations or when you want to invite the family over. The only problem about that would be that they would probably think you consider them to be trash. After all, they are the ones who get to live in a dumpster, right? Well, add some cable to that, and they should be fine I am sure. Awkwardness avoided!
