SXSW By The Numbers: Complete Statistics Overview [Infographic]

As most people probably know, SXSW is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.  I must admit that even though I am heavily involved in the music industry, I have never gone to this event.  It is always described as an awesome conference festival.  It started out being just a music festival, but it has grown through the years to include much more.  I have many times engaged in conversations about the SXSW event, but I usually end up talking about something else, for what reason I have no idea.  The event in itself should be enticing enough to stay on the subject, but no.  Many of you out there have actually gone to it and have your own mind set about it, but there are still plenty of people out there that have no clue what it is all about.

I would invite anyone to explain to the “non-goers” what this event entails.  Maybe that will enlighten the rest of us and inspire us to go next year.  Exactly how popular is this event?  What can you expect to find, experience and leave with after you’ve gone?  That is a question that is highly subjective since I imagine each person’s experience is different.

However, getSatisfaction put together a great and informative infographic about the event and all its current numbers.  This is a great way to get a little more inside information about the event and everything around it.  Being a statistics fanatic myself (I think my co-workers here at Bit Rebels can verify that), I am going to dive into all this data and somehow make sense of all of it.  Life is good, especially when the music is good and the people around you are kind.
