Smartphone Hologram Projector Now Available For Less Than $100

A while ago, I wrote about a low cost approach to adding holographic animations to your smartphone. It was a DIY holographic smartphone projector that showcased some rather great potential. It looks like the idea behind that particular smartphone hologram projector sparked ideas all over the world, and there are now several holographic projectors available on the market. However, few are as impressive as the one that we’ll be showcasing in this article.

We have visited innovation in the realm of holograms and holographic animations many times here at Bit Rebels. Usually it is to update you on how the technology is progressing and what can be expected in the future. It will probably be a while before a true smartphone hologram projector is implemented on consumer smartphones, but that won’t stop innovators from putting together their own creations. Some are of course more impressive than others, but they are all working towards the same goal, and that is to make a true smartphone hologram projector that will surpass any previous technology implemented into a smartphone.

This particular projector is an accessory that is quite similar to the one I wrote about a while ago. However, this project is meant for the consumer market and is called HOLHO. It is currently running a rather successful Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the final stages of the product development itself in order to make this smartphone hologram projector ready for the consumer market.

Holograms are not easy to create, not to mention making them look ultra realistic. This particular one is quite impressive and will display content on a smartphone or a tablet in full holographic view. In order for this projector to become a reality, the HOLHO team is looking to raise a total of $58,000. With more than 46 days to go, the team has already managed to raise north of $12,000, which makes this Kickstarter project well on it’s way to becoming a successful one. Join the smartphone hologram movement and help make this project a reality by pledging. It will help push holographic technology forward.
