Monitor Your Energy Consumption – The Badass Way!

It’s a resource that is causing earth to go into a downward spiral. Energy consumption is on an ever rising curve and the environment is being damaged because of it. We have long known how it effects the pollution of the world’s resources, and yet we aren’t doing near enough to solve the problem. However, things are beginning to take form and more and more people are taking action to help the recovery of the environment, but it won’t be easy and it won’t be fast.

We have to learn new patterns and adjust to the new ways of getting our luxury items to function properly. Once we end the use of oil and combustive pollution energy sources, we’ll be way better off and on our way to a better planet and better health.

That’s why this new concept is so wonderfully awesome and geeky. Designers at Carbon Design Group and Artefact Design have developed something that will speak to everyone, especially the geek in you. It’s an entirely new concept of monitoring your energy consumption level. It even adjusts down to a smaller use of energy, but uses it in a far more efficient way.

The concept is called IMPACT, and it consists of a clock, a fridge, a dishwasher and an iPhone app. All together they form a regulated network and ecosystem of energy efficient monitoring devices. It’s one of the coolest things to hit the home appliances industry in years, in my opinion. It’s far out, futuristic and just plain cool. It’s the killingest thing I have seen all week!
