There are tons of mounts available for smartphones and tablets. There are so many that it never occurred to me that someone was innovating to create one we haven’t seen before. This mount is called the eleMount. It caught my attention because it was just listed on Kickstarter yesterday, and in only 24 hours, the developers have raised over $21,000 (their goal was $10,000). I can only imagine how far this gadget will go by the end of the campaign in October.
The eleMount really is the most user-friendly mount we’ve ever seen. It’s made out of aluminum, and it works for all smartphones and tablets, regardless of what flavor you prefer. If you watch the video below, you can see it in action. It changes all the possibilities for how you can use your phone. For example, you can stick it on your bathroom sink and comfortably FaceTime while you are getting ready for work.
You can also mount it in the most unexpected, awkward places (like on rocks so you can take a picture, or on an uneven surface). In other words, it’s not just limited to mounting your smartphones and tablets in your car. The options go far beyond that. It’s being called a universal mount, and it eliminates the need for suction cups, hooks, clamps or locks.
The style is minimalist, and there isn’t even an instruction manual. If you are looking for a new mount for your family’s smartphones and tablets, you might want to check this one out. Since they’ve already reached their funding goal, it’s a sure thing that this will be a reality. When this technology packed goodie retails, it will cost about $150. Right now you can get one on Kickstarter for $119. What a brilliant little innovation!
