R2D2-Style Vinyl Turntable Is The Future Retro

Music is the one thing that inspires me the most. I have lived off it since I was very young, and some of you know the full story. When you stumble over music that finds its way into you inner being, you know it connects with a vital part of you that will enable you to derive the most intense sense of inspiration. We have all been there, whether it is positive or negative. It touches us all. As we all know, the format in which music has been presented through the years has gone through an extraordinary evolution. Most of it has happened in just the last couple of decades. We literally went from vinyl records to digital music presented on the Internet seemingly overnight.

Vinyl is, as any audiophile will tell you, the ultimately best way to enjoy live recorded music since it makes it sound a lot more alive and warm. Digital music is stripped of a number of frequencies when it is digitized, and when it is crunked down into 44.1 kHz. So this is a big reason why a lot of people are holding on to their vinyl records like their lives depended on it. So why not kick it up a notch when it comes to the device that we use to play them on, right?

This R2D2-style Vinyl Turntable was created by Tex Nasty at Remix Turntable Lab (tech, lights and all mechanics) and Ed Hubbs at Full Blown Kustoms (paint/theme art). It’s one of those badass sci-fi must haves for anyone who is chained to the retro ways of the future. I have no idea how much one of these badboys will set you back, but one thing is for sure and that is that this will definitely be the center of attention at any party, club or wherever you decide to take it. It’s just one of those maddening creations that will have you inspired plentifully just from looking at it, and it will inspire you even more when you play your cherished vinyl records on it.
