I think everyone is fascinated with pirates and those huge ships sailing the seven seas in search of gold and jewelry. At least it seems that way if you look at the success of the Pirates of The Caribbean movie series starring Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Each movie is more extraordinary than the next as we are taken on a gunpowder filled journey to foreign lands and waters. There is something that is central in all of those movies, and that is the firing of the ancient canons that we are all so familiar with and relate to the age of the pirates.
I recently found a YouTube clip by user 43287633 who is showing off his ultimately cool and unique little canon. However, don’t be fooled by the size of it cause it’s quite lethal. Anyone that has told you that size matters will change their mind after seeing this. It shatters soda cans, beer glasses, light bulbs and even balloons from a striking distance.
The accuracy of this quite awesome little canon is amazing and the fact that it’s loaded in the very same manner as an ancient full size canon makes it even more interesting. First you load the gunpowder and then add the little ball carefully, packing it all inside the barrel. Lastly, adding the little fuse that will set the whole thing in motion is beyond inspirational, just a bit of a fire source and it’s bombs away. The destruction is totaling. Just watch this little clip and you’ll see it for yourself. I, for one, wouldn’t want to stand in the way of that little thing.
