Whoa! This is incredible. Like I read in one of Richard’s articles today, sometimes it’s hard for us to be impressed with art. It’s not that we are snooty about it or anything like that; it’s just that we’ve been writing about magnificent artwork for years, and so we’ve seen a lot. Because of that, the bar is set really high here at Bit Rebels, and we usually don’t write about artwork unless it is truly extraordinary.
This definitely falls into that category of art that just makes your jaw drop. I’ve heard of people making art from garbage before. As a matter of fact, with recycling and repurposing on the rise, it’s pretty common for contemporary artists to create treasures from trash. However, Tim Noble and Sue Webster take it to a whole different level.
They use household trash, scrap metal and taxidermy animals to make this mind-blowing shadow art. These shadows look so realistic that you wouldn’t even think they were made from trash if you didn’t see them with your own eyes, right? Sue wrote, “Our work is incredibly unsocial. There has to be complete darkness because you need to give the light and then take it away again.” You can learn more about these insanely talented artists on Tim Noble & Sue Webster.
