Attention foodies, this is for you. As you know, there is a very special relationship between restaurant apps and foodies. Add Instagram to the mix and many people are in heaven. Some people will do anything to get a good photograph of their dinner to show the world, and that includes standing on their chair in a restaurant to get just the right shot, at least according to the New York Times.
It seems people are using their smartphones in restaurants as much as their forks. According to that NYT article, which is called Restaurants Turn Camera Shy, some restaurants in NYC have had enough. They are starting to ban food photos from being taken in their restaurants. I know, it’s the most ridiculous thing ever. If I was a Chef, I’d love the fact that pictures of the food I created was being sent to the world via social media, but that’s just me.
If you are a foodie who depends on your restaurant apps to provide you with important information about your next meal, this infographic is for you. It’s called 35 Top Restaurant Apps and it’s a collaboration between PizzaMarketplace.com, FastCasual.com and QSRweb.com.
There are already more smartphones on the planet than people, and that trend is expected to continue. Consumers definitely love their restaurant apps. It’s just how we do it these days, and I can’t imagine that will change any time soon. According to this infographic, 71% of moms have used their smartphones to search for a fast food restaurant while on the go. So take a moment and check out these popular restaurant apps. There are some on this list I had never heard of before, and I’m looking forward to checking them out. Hopefully you will too!
