World’s Most Intricate Illustrations Will Blow You Mind

Back in the day when we didn’t have wireless land-line phones at home, we were confined to the space around where the phone physically was. It was the cord that actually limited our freedom when someone called us. Usually we had a pile of papers around where the phone was in order to keep our creative senses at bay, and of course to write important things down. Mainly, I think we all used that paper to doodle away while the person on the other end of the phone was talking to us, I know I did that at least. I don’t know if it is considered rude to do that, and if you compare it to typing on our keyboard while talking on the phone, I suppose it’s rude since doing that is considered inappropriate in our society these days.

My point is that the doodles we used to put down on that piece of paper were mostly just different elaborate patterns that we continued on expanding as the phone call progressed. The end result was probably not too epic in any way, but sometimes I remember thinking, “Wow, that looks kinda cool!” when the phones call was finally over. If we’re talking about epic doodles on any kind of scale, you should definitely check out what artist Atelier Olschinsky has been creating for quite some time.

The art is called “Cities,” and they are epic in every sense. The detail on these illustrations is just mind boggling, and you have to look really closely at the screen in order to really see the epicness of these pieces of artwork. They go way beyond the phone call doodles we are all used to, and if you can find anything that is as epic as these, I will give you some major props. Most of these remind me of Bladerunner and how the world will supposedly look in a few years according to every science fiction movie from the beginning of the ’80s.
