Do I Look Nerdy or Geeky Enough For Ya?

People dress differently whether they are going to work or out to play. For us in the office, we are fortunate enough to wear anything we like, as long as it’s appropriate for that day’s schedule. We can wear anything as long as we make sure that when we have client presentations, we are dressed for the occasion.

How about your office? Do you have a uniform or dress code that you have to follow? I bet it is pretty hard for designers or creative types to have to wear a uniform. What if you are asked to wear something really formal? I found a very interesting 8 bit tie that was created, and is now sold at Think Geek.

“What an awesome way for the drones of Cubeland to show their independence from Corporate America! So, we did what we knew you’d want – we had the ties made. Silk-like Microfiber construction, clip on* (for easy dressing and t-shirt wear if needed), and custom designed by us for you. You’ll be the envy of the office or, at least, you’ll get tons of attention. You’ll be just like Mario when he wore a tie to meetings when negotiating his contract with Nintendo. Sure the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 are out there with all their super technology, but sometimes it’s nice to remember the beginnings of the video game revolution. Viva la 8-Bit!”- Think Geek

Product Features

  • Stylish Tie Looks just like what Mario wore to his high-school graduation.
  • Pixelated design and jaggy edges complete the 8-Bit look.
  • Clip-on format makes for easy wear with any shirt (including t-shirts).
  • 20 inches in length. Fits any human.
  • Each tie is handmade, so there will be slight variation to the 8-bit edges.
  • Silky Microfiber Construction (Polyester)

I think what is cool too is that they have a section on their site where people submitted pictures of how they wore the tie, and it is quite a riot and very interesting indeed!  I have added some pictures here for you to check out. Now you can be in style even if you are the geek or nerdy type.
