So how do you like those new Nike Air Mags? They’re pretty sweet, aren’t they? When I saw that Nike had created those badboys, I was eager to check them out. As a matter of fact, I was like a kid on the night before Christmas. Then the news came out that the first pair sold for an obnoxious amount of money. I don’t think that all 500 pairs that were created are going to cost that much, but they will still be quite expensive if I am not entirely misinformed. The price is probably right where it should be since they are one of the coolest things you can get as far as sneakers go. I don’t think I would spend that much on a pair of shoes, especially when i can’t wear them like regular shoes. It would be a sin to wear and tear those beautiful creations.
I think many people will agree with the statement that those shoes were not meant for walking. At least not if you want to keep the value that you paid for them intact. However, there is an alternative to these which you might not have thought of yet. The solution comes from Lego artist Orion Pax who completely owns it up by creating the Nike Air Mags purely in Lego. What a wonderful way to be creative, especially when things are in limited supply. You can just go ahead and create your own, whatever it is.
I am sure if you look real hard on the Internet, you can find the plans for building these awesome sneakers. That way, you don’t have to pay the whopping $4,000 for a pair of real Nike Air Mags that you won’t be able to wear anyway. The shoes themselves are of course a hot item for collectors, and I doubt there are many left if you still don’t know where to put that $4,000 you have left in your wallet. For all of you who don’t want to pay that price for a piece of history, you can just settle for these Lego ones. They are equally as cool, at least that’s what I think personally. Which would you go for?
