Sleep In A Sandcastle Hotel On Your Next Vacation

Are you low on funds? Are you looking for a way to save money on your next vacation? I have the perfect idea; how about make reservations to stay in a hotel made out of sand? Sure, it may not be private, and the bed could be a little lumpy, but for $21 a night, you can’t get any cheaper than that!

This sandcastle hotel is located on Weymouth Beach in Dorset, UK. It is made from 1,000 tons of sand and water. It took six people and bulldozer eight days to build.

If you decide to stay here, of course you’ll have to sacrifice a few creature comforts like running water, a toilet and a roof. But hey, look on the bright side, you can tell your friends that you had an ocean front room (just leave out the part about the ocean splashing into your room).

This sandcastle hotel was designed by Mark Anderson who is apparently a sandcastle expert. As it turns out, this whole thing was a publicity stunt by LateRooms.com, the hotel company. I think it’s a great idea. I’ve always wanted to spend the night on the beach and this is the perfect way to do it. You Brits are just so cute and creative!
