Star Wars Fan Creates One Of A Kind R2-D2 Engagement Ring

When a geek is about to ask that one important question, he should always make sure it’s with the right bling. Maybe that’s because he knows that a geek girl won’t settle for something that every other girl has. It has to be unique, and it has to be geeky. At least that was the case for Joe, one of the greatest Star Wars fans on the planet. He’s a guy who decided that the ordinary diamond loop just wasn’t good enough for his beloved girl. So what did he do? Well, he set out to create the most geeky engagement ring you could ever imagine of course. And, we all know it had something to do with Star Wars in order to make sense, right? In this case, Joe was spot on and decided that R2-D2 was the right droid to keep his relationship safe.

This R2-D2 engagement ring was created by Paul Michael Bierker at CustomMade. It is encrusted with blue sapphires and has a huge diamond in the middle. It was presented to Joe’s girlfriend Emily on Halloween, and we can only guess that on that day she was the happiest girl on the planet. I bet there are a lot of geeky girls out there who would kill to get their very own R2-D2 engagement ring. Unfortunately, it is a one off, and I doubt there will be any more made. But if you are a huge Star Wars fan yourself, and you happen to know that your girl is one of many dreaming about one of these rings, you can always create your own.

It could be a tough sell though since your girl pretty much has to be a Star Wars fan in order to find it awesome. But then again, who isn’t a Star Wars fan nowadays, right? At least for a while longer. Now that Disney acquired Lucasfilm Ltd., and now that they have unofficially announced they are making 3 more Star Wars movies, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the number of Star Wars fans will grow or dwindle. Always keep a positive mind though, Disney has created epic movies before, and Star Wars might just be what they need in order to show off their science fiction skills.
