Beehive House: Creativity Has No Boundaries

When it comes to the state of the economy, there are a lot of different statistics pointing in every odd direction nowadays. Some say we’re out of the recession, and others claim the worst is still to come. Sometimes I wonder if they are just scare tactics to keep us holding on to our money while others want us to spend it. Seriously, if I hadn’t become a designer, I would probably have been interested in boring old economy statistics. Believe me, people who know me get so annoyed by my constant drivel about statistics. As soon as I start saying, “Wow, this is…” they shut me down immediately. But now I have something else to talk about! This beehive house!

With this in mind, people who find themselves in the wrong place and in need of a new adventure sometimes try to find a new place to live. However, what should they look for? That’s the hardest question during the whole process. After that, it’s all textbook guidelines and regulations that will determine your next housing. I am pretty sure few people would consider living in a beehive house, but before you make up your mind, have a gander at this house!

So should you look for something a little bit more creative? Is creative going to cost you more, or is it actually going to save you money? Well, according to the guys working for Fab Lab House, it’s going to save you money to move into one of their… unique houses, the beehive house. If you have ever wanted to live in a tree house, but you don’t have the courage to climb a tree, then this beehive house is probably right up your alley! It just doesn’t get more creative than this!

It comes complete with solar panels, curved roof, breathing structure and a self-sufficient energy source that, on top of it all, generates more energy than what your house needs. See, you’re really making money moving into one of these beehive houses… I think! Hmm…
