Just Unveiled: The Porsche 918 Spyder

I am such a sucker for hot cars. I always have been. When I’m around a beautiful, sleek, sexy, fast car I get weak in the knees and turn to mush. I love getting on a stretch of highway where you can manually shift through all the gears so fast that you and the car feel like you morph into one.

If you love cars like me, then the car I’m about to show you will make you see stars. It almost seems too good to be true. On Monday, the Porsche 918 Spyder was presented for the Geneva Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dream about this: Zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds, fuel economy of 78 miles per gallon, 7 speed transmission, hybrid combining electric with V-8 engine, touch screen controls on the inside and cameras instead of door mirrors (which technically aren’t legal yet, but hopefully that will change soon as technology evolves). Currently, this is just a concept car; however, since Porsche has never displayed a concept car that hasn’t eventually been produced, my guess is, this car will be a reality. If you don’t want to wait, and if you happen to be in Geneva, Switzerland, this car will be on display and open to the public through March 14th!
