If you are one of those people who is continuously redecorating your home in order to follow the style and fashion of the trends, I am sure that you are always looking into the future for answers about where things might be heading. There have been many “concepts” of what we might put into our living space, and some have even been inspired by movies, games and books. The future is a constantly developing concept, and it will still probably be a long time before people actually decide to pick up, or even consider turning to the extreme technologies of the future. By the looks of it, it seems people like slow change where the ideas can develop into worthwhile concepts that actually add comfort to their lives.
If you are looking for something that will impress your house guests, there are plenty of things out there that might do just that. Take this Levitating Lamp (or Silhouette as it is actually called) for example. At first glance, it looks like a naturally ordinary lamp with a slightly futuristic design feature. However, when you get closer to it, you suddenly realize that the top portion of the lamp actually hovers above the rest of the lamp.
I am sure some people, without touching it, will wonder how the heck this is possible. It’s not magic, and it sure doesn’t use any strings or tricks to make it “look” like it’s hovering. It is actually hovering thanks to a couple of really strong magnets with opposite attraction to each other. Just pop the top portion on there and turn it on. It would be really cool if they managed to send electricity wirelessly to the top part, which would make that one be the light source of it. I think I wrote an article about a year ago about some scientist that managed to send electricity to the air. Someday this might actually come true. For now, this is what the future has to offer us today, if you know what I mean.
