If you’re artsy and love pizza, you’ve probably created your own pizza at some point and put a design on the top that you made yourself with the different ingredients. It’s a classic Saturday afternoon kid project, and I’ve done it myself at least a dozen times. Wouldn’t it be great if you could paint your own pizza design with an app and then have a pizza with your design delivered hot to your door? If you live in NYC, you can do this now.
Think about it. The options would be endless. You could do something as simple as write someone a note on top of the pizza, or you could create your best masterpiece. It would all be done through a paint program app that would then turn your pizza design into a custom pizza. It’s not that expensive either. Each pizza ordered like this (which would come from Ray’s Pizza in NYC) will cost you $36.
What’s amazing to me about this is that there are ingredients to symbolize almost anything you could create on your pizza artwork. The app that makes this possible is the Paintshop.biz paint app created by Jonas Lund. You can even invite others to collaborate on your pizza design. Once one of the artists signs the pizza design artwork, then the custom pizza making process begins.
I put several examples of pizzas created with this paint app below. Beneath the pizzas, you’ll see the artwork that was submitted. If you live in NYC, and if you want to try this out for yourself, just click over to Paint Your Pizza to get started. I love this idea! Not only is this artwork temporary, it’s edible too. Watch the video below to see the app in action.
